Notifications

EFTPOS Air uses notifications to alert you to business-related events, such as updates to invoices or quotes, problems sending invoices and receipts to customers and service announcements.

You can choose which and how you receive notifications, including via push notification to your device, or email.

You can access your notifications by navigating to More > Notifications, which will list any notifications you've received. If you have unread notifications, those notifications will be shown with a red bell icon and the number of unread notifications will be shown on the More tab.

By default, EFTPOS Air will have email and SMS sharing failure notifications turned on, which means that they will appear in the notification list in EFTPOS Air, but you will not receive them as push notifications to your device or via email.

Notification Settings

From the Notification Settings menu, you can configure what types of notifications you receive, and whether you receive them as push notifications to This Device or via Email.

Each notification type can be individually toggled on and off for your device and for email.

To turn on notifications for This Device or Email, select the corresponding menu item and enable notifications.

Note

When enabling notifications for your device, you may be prompted to allow EFTPOS Air to send you notifications.

The following notification types can be turned on and off:

Sharing Failures

Sometimes, an email or SMS can't be delivered to the recipient. This can be due to a variety of reasons, but in most cases is due to an invalid email address or phone number.

Under this menu, you can be notified about sharing failures that have occurred for:

  • Email
  • SMS

Being notified of these errors helps you be proactive in ensuring your customers receive their invoices and receipts.

Overdue Invoices

These notifications will alert you when an invoice becomes overdue.

You can choose to receive invoice overdue notifications for:

Option Description
Any invoice in my business Only available to users who can view invoices from other staff members. Includes invoices issued by other staff members.
Invoices I created Includes invoices that you created but that were issued by another staff member.
Invoices I issued Includes invoices that you issued but that were created by another staff member.

Quote Expiry

These notifications will alert you when a quote expires.

You can choose to receive quote expiry notifications for:

Option Description
Any quote in my business Only available to users who can view invoices from other staff members. Includes quotes issued by other staff members.
Quotes I created Includes quotes that you created but that were issued by another staff member.
Quotes I issued Includes quotes that you issued but that were created by another staff member.

Service Updates

You might occasionally receive updates related to changes to your current services. This option can't be disabled, but you can choose to receive this notification via push or email.
